Hal has 23 years of professional experience with the last 18 years devoted in operations management. His professional experience is complimented with solid proven leadership and people management skills. Hal developed vast knowledge throughout his career as he worked in different industries such as; sheet metal fabrication, fiber-optics, telecommunication, contract manufacturing, printing, and most recently in healthcare. He is focused on developing business systems, process re-engineering, warranty services, contracts and proposal development and negotiations, client management, and process waste elimination using the principles and tools of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies. Hal has remarkable record of being fiscally responsible and possesses statistical and financial analysis techniques.
Currently, Hal is responsible for the entire Operations team at Thermo Fisher Scientific – Microbiology Canada located in the nation’s capital. He is responsible for the operation to manufacture and distribute prepared media that allows healthcare laboratories and hospitals to culture and identify microorganisms.
Hal received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Dayton in Ohio, USA. He also holds an Executive MBA degree from the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa in Canada.
