On the 20th March, the Industry representatives from Hydro Ottawa and Baylis Medtech joined us. We got to learn from the experiences of leading ladies in the two organizations and all the participant women enjoyed learnings from experiences. ANCWT will continue to host similar sessions for the future.
Collaboration for ANCWT enhanced one step, when we joined hands with uAlberta WISEST, (Women in Scholarship, Engineering, Science & Technology) for a Alumni based event, where the dynamic group of ladies shared there journey as immigrants in Canada. We are proud to be able to contribute to WISEST‘s efforts in collecting data for their Pathways to STEM for Racialized Immigrant Girls project. It was an insightful and truly inspiring session where the ANCWT alumni shared their experiences and challenges faced while pursuing a career in STEM. Thank you to all of the participants and to Helen Yip for making this event so compelling.
ANCWT hosted the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging: Essential Literacy and Embedding DEI with Dr. Candy Khan on the 22nd February 2022. Dr. Khan, an international award-winning author and a leader in diversity and inclusion, has experience in various sectors including government, private, public, non-profit, post-secondary, and health. The event witnessed a great zeal in the industry professionals who participated in the event.
